suffering from severe shock and second and third degree burns. Found wandering near the wreck of the plane, Mr. For-wood was strangely cheerful while being taken to hospital and, when admitted, chatted about his experience. In the days that followed, while avia-tion experts puzzled over his escape, and many members of the public telephoned the hos-pital with sympathetic inquiries, doctors fought hard to save his life. On Wednesday his name was placed on the provisional dan-ger list and then the danger list. It is understood that be-fore his death he was suffering from pneumonia. Police took a statement from him soon after he was admitted to hospital. A bachelor, he was managingdirector of an Adelaide engineering firm.INQUEST INQUEST DATE. Last night the City Coroner (Mr. R. P. Rodriguez) said that until he received a file on the crash from the Police Department he would not be able to fix a date for an inquest. A date had not been fixed last night for the public inquiry promised by the Minister for Civil Aviation (Mr. White). After services today at St. George's Cathedral (starting at 10.15 a.m.) and St. Mary's Cathedral (10 a.m.) the un-identified victims of the crash will be buried together at the Karrakatta Cemetery at about 11.15 a.m.
