SHORTAGE OF NURSES MOORA. May 22: Because of a shortage of nursing staff, the Moora Hospital Board was recently compelled to close the hospital maternity wing. Later, a Press reference to the position resulted in temporary relief being provided, and the maternity wing was re-opened. At its last meeting, the board received resignations from two sisters and when these take effect in a fortnight's time, the matron will be the only fully qualified member of the staff. The board will have to close the maternity wing unless other qualified staff offer their services. LEONORA SiEAtING: Mr. Phil Murrar's shearing team cut out Glenorn Station Red Knob shed and Morgans area on Priday where 3.572 sheep yielded 89 bates. The team passed through Leonora at the weekend travelling to the Wiluna district.
