A CHEAP BRIDGE Eighteen years ago a bridge was built over the Burswood canal at Rivervale by the State Govern-ment, and the Perth City Council at that time agreed to accept re-sponsibility for maintenance costs. At a meeting of the council yes-terday it was reported that a recent inspection had shown that maintenance work was required to the decking at an estimated cost of £175.' This was the first expenditure required since the bridge was built.
