HEAVY YIELDS OF GRAIN KONDININ, Dec. 19: The bulk wheat bin at Notting, two miles. from Kondinin, and the bin at Kondinin are full of wheat Farmers say that crops are stripping exceptionally well although the rainfall for Kondinin this year was barely 10in. Wheat returns are above average and many growers say that they are reaping record crops. CALINGIRI, Dec. 19: Wheat is arriving at the bin at Calingiri in large quantities. Samples are above the district average and returns are above expectations. Yields of up to ten bags an acre have been recorded. Oat and barley crops have also been highly satisfactory. SALMON GUMS, Dec. 19: With ideal harvesting conditions farmers are busy and already wheat deliveries have been made at several sidings. A number of farmers report that crops are stripping better than expected. It is expected that the yield for the Mallee will be the highest for a number of years. For Stalln: The Bulgarian Black Sea port of Varna is to be renamed Stalin, according to Sofia newspapers.
