Three RAAF Men Die On Mecy Mission PERTH, Friday.—A doctor, pilot, and sergeant-all members of the RAAF-—were killed when their ambu-lance plane crashed into the Indian Ocean shortly after it had set out 0n a mercy mission. The victims were: Squadron Leader J. C. Sangster, medical officer. of Adelaide ; Flying Officer C. E. Dix. of Melbourne ; and Sergeant N. Catton. of Sydney. Piloted by Flying Officer Dix, the plane had taken off from an RAAF air-field to bring help to a civilian urgently in need of medical attention at Argyle Downs station, about 110 miles south-east of Wyndham. The passengers and pilot were killed instantly in the crash into the sea. The plane and bodies have been recovered.
