VERSATILITY Already an instance has been found of football and cricket interests clashing: F. Buttsworth will not be available for the first pennant cricket match on Octor 15 because of a football trip. There are not. a great number of league footballers who play first-grade cricket here. Buttsworth, a State representative in each sport comes readily to mind, and H. Price, having won a State football guernsey this year, is now practising keenly in the hope of earning a State cricket blazer. B, Rigg, a promising footballer though light, gave up football and concentrated on cricket. J. Munro, the State wicketkeeper last season, became a handy centre-half-forward for Claremont this year. Now R Tucker, the Perth goalsneak, proposes to try his luck and skill as a cricketer with Subiaco. Asked yesterday whether he was .a bowler or batsman Tucker said: "I am a little of each." Tucker has been a useful player on matting, having headed' the Sheffield House batting and bowling averages in. each of the past three seasons..
