MOUSE-IN-PIE CLAIM, FAILS.

SYDNEY, Thursday. - Mary Telfer, a tailoress, claimed stifle to-day from the Aerated Bread Company Limited for injury to her health, owing, as she alleged,

to having eaten portion of a rat or mouse in n meat preserved in'defendants''shop. In tho course of evidence given, on behalf of defendants, a witness was called who declared he had prior knowledge that a trick was intended to be played on defendants. Witness also asserted that plaintiff was theories associate of "crooks." The witness, in cross-examination, admitted several convictions in various State courts. A verdict was given for defendants. .
