SHOULD BE NATIONAL ANTHEM IS VIEW OF MR. PETER DAWSON

Adelaide Tuesday.

Mr. L. L. Hill, the Premier of South Australia, entertained Mr. Peter Daw-son at luncheon at Pailmmcnt House on Monday, and, as a memento of his Adelaide vit,u. presented lum with a nut bowl and cracker of South Austra-lian midgi. Uns was tho i'rst time Mr. Dawson had been to Parliament House and ho was shown o\tr it by Mr Hill. Tho barítono recalled that ho and the Premier were, within a few months, the samo age, and eich was a native of South Australia.

Mr. Dawson told Mr. Hill how im-pressed ho had always boen with the "Song of Australia," written by Mrs C- J. Carleton, of South Australia, nnd he considered it should bo the national nnthom of tho Commonwealth Ho intended to do his bot to make it so Mr. Daw«on and Mr Mark Hambourg will leave by tho East-Weat express this morning. Many of Mr. Dawson's friends and members of the Opcratio Society hivo planned to givo him a send-off bv singing "The Song of Aus-tralia." The artists will give con certs in Kalgoorlie and Perth before sailing for England.
