SOUTH FREMANTLE'S PACE. Revealing superior pace, and handling the ball with more certainty, South Fre-mantle defeated West Perth by 87 points at Leederville Oval on Saturday. Smith (each 3), Reilly (2), Chandler and Dearie. West Perth: Tyson (8) and Jensen. South Fremantle was best served by D Smith, who played intelligently at half-forward. Reilly was strong in the ruck, D. Doig was at times brilliant at half-back, and Haskell (who covered long dis-tances with his kicking) did well in sev-eral positions. Renfrey was solid in a back pocket, and N. and C. Lewington, Jenkins and A. Richardson were also prominent. Tetley stood out for West Perth with a typically sound game in a back pocket. Giese was prominent in the centre, Cap-lin defended well, Tyson worked hard for eight goals, and Cook followed strongly Of the others, R. Screaigh, Rainoldi, P. Walsh and Bridges did best.
