BULK WHEAT BIN. Erection at Ravensthorp Approved. Following a request from farmers in the Phillips River Road Board district, the Minister for Agriculture (Mr. J. T. Tonkin) has approved of the erection of a bulk bin on a central site at Ravensthorpe to which farmers will be able to deliver their wheat. It will be operated on the same basis as bins erected at Holt Rock, Lake Varley, Lake Camm and Lake King in 1940. The bin is to be erected and operated by Co-operative Bulk Handling Ltd.. and it is expected to be completed in time to receive the 1947' harvest. It is an extension of the Government's policy which applied to the Lakes district where central bins were erected for the receival of wheat and which, for the purpose of transport and other charges, were considered as railway sidings.
