Live Bomb Found At Port Pirie

PT PIRIE. Dec. 4.

The unexploded two-inch mortar bomb, missing after an army bivouac at the weekend, was found and destroyed

yesterday. A live anti-tank bomb is still missing, and warning notices will be placed on the shore of Weeroona Island, about five miles from Port Pirie. The officer commanding D. Company, 27th Battalion (Maj. J. O. Geddes) said today there were about 50 other bombs in the area, but these were not loaded.
