'Kangaroo' Stars To Have Short Stay Here

It is unlikely that fans of Maureen O'Hara or adnirers of Peter Lawford will see much of their idols dur

Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation officials have to organise a close timetable so that ;he stars of the technicolor film 'Kangaroo*' arrived on time at a series of functions from 3.15 p.m., when they attend the Government House garden party, to 5 p.m., when they meet people associated with the film industry at the South Australian Hotel.Reception Reception Plans

At this reception they will meet the Premier (Mr. Playford). State Cabinet Ministers and their wives. On Friday they will receive a civic welcome at the Town Hall from the Lord Mayor (Mr. Arthur Rymill) and they will attend a luncheon at Parliament House as the guests of the Premier. They will be able to take a choice of arrangements for a free evening on Thursday, either seeing 'Song of Norway' or taking a drive in the Adelaide Hills.On- On- Friday evening Miss O'Hara, with her maid, will settle into the house allotted to her from those under construction at Port Augusta. On the Saturday intensive rehearsals under Mr. Milestone will begin, and these will continue until apparatus for filming arrives in a six-day road lift from Sydney. Sixty technicians and executives working on the '?Kan-garoo' film will fly to South Australia during the next week. They will go straight to Port Augusta to get ready for shooting to start without delay. Mr. George Westenheiser, in charge of 'props,' and Mr. Colin Hall, of Movietone News, who is advising, are on their way to the location.
