MINERS DECIDE TO STRIKE RESISTANCE TO INCOME TAX

The Welsh miners have voted in favor of a strike in resistance to the income tax.

London, November 27.

South Wales is enjoying unexampled prosperity. Tramp steamers using Welsh ports are charging (.0/ a ton fre:ght for coal shipped to Rouen (the fre'ght was 5/ before the war), and 100/ for coal conveyed to Venice, for which 8/ was the former charge.

One captain made £63,000 last year out of his part share of a steamer. The coal owners are selling export coal at 7/ a ton. Steel smelters are earn-ing £16 weekly.

One miner's family, in which the father and three sons work in the pits, is receiving £37 10/ a week.
