POISON SUSPECTED.

DEATH OF A STATION ACCOUNTANT.

A CINGALESE ARRESTED.

In November last Percy Tomkiss, employed as accountant Milly Milly station, died in the Cue hospital under suspicious circumstances. On Satur- day Jimmy Callo, a Cingalese, formerly cook at Milly Milly station, was arres-ted, on a charge of' having threatened last year to murder Harry Luttmnn. Portion of a bottle of whisky, some of which Tomkíss was known to have taken shortly before he became ill, has been found, on analysis, to contain some crude arsenical preparation, such as might be used in a sheep dip. Tomkiss' body will be exhumed, to ascer-tain if death was. due to poison. The circumstances of the case in which Callo is charged witlh having threatened to kill Luttman are not yet available.
