Wellington (N.Z.), Tuesday. - The body of Mr. George Black, member of Parliament for Motueka, was found above

high-water mark on the Makara beach, 10

Miles from Wellington on Monday even-ing. Mr. Black hired a taxi to drive him to the beach in the afternoon, and dis-missed the driver, saying that he would ask him to return later. Mr. Black was first elected in 1928, when he was aged 25 years, and the late Joseph Ward ap-

pointed him junior whip to the United party, which position he resigned on Sir Joseph Ward's death.
