CALCUTTA. Oct. 16.

The Jats and Sikhs, who me Hindus, demanded vengeance, and three Sikhs, armed with shotguns and rifles ran amok, firing at every Moslem they saw, including beggars. They killed seven and wounded nine, including two women. Then they rushed to an adjacent village and killed eight Moslems-, including five men of one family who were asleep. 'They' wounded 15 including a woman who died later

It is recalled that a year ago I Hindu murdered 11 Moslem- 111 1 village in the same district as 11 sequel to the killing of a cow. He was executed last month Acute Hindu-Moslem tension prevails in the district
