THREE HEW TEAMS IN RULES CODE

Three new teams— Mayne, Coorparoo, and Past State Commercial [ High School— will take the field in the openine- round of National code eames to

morrow. Ascot and South Brisbane will be missing, but many of their prominent players will be seen in the new combinations. Last year's grand finalists, Windsor and Kedron, will provide the main game at Perry Park. Windsor will make few changes. Mitchell and the Torrance brothers, with Stream roving, the Haskings brothers on the forward lines, and Carrigan. who was considered doubtful, will form the backbone of the team. Kedron will be without Bone and Phelan. Jackson is doubtful, but Anderson, who missed last season, may be included. Lawlor, Hinton, and Packer or McKay will be brought up from the junior ranks to fill the vacancies. - ' Past State Commercial High will make their initial appearance against Taringa in the early game at' Perry Park. Pat. Vidgen, last season's captain, is unavailable for Taringa, but Max Jefferies, inter-State full-back, is expected to make his reappearance. Danaher and Neilson, from South Brisbane, and Bishop, from Yeronga, will strengthen the ranks of Past State Commercial. / Mayne should take the field against Coorparoo with a ready-made side. Nuss, Drake, Alick Cavill, Wickham Byrne, and the promising young forward, Northover, from the defunct Ascot side, will be included. Coorparoo will be led by the InterState footballer and cricketer, Don. Watt. Potter, late of Ascot, is vicecaptain.
