A.B.C. To Open New Station; Thebarton Match From 5 AD

The official opening of the new ABC station at Broken Hill will be broadcast at 7.45 p.m. on Thursday. After speeches by

the Postmaster-General and Mr. E. R. Daves, vice-chairman of the ABC. a programme of music by a local orchestra, band, choir and quartet will be presented. Mnsie Jessica Dix will give a piano recital at 7.15 p.m. today, and at 7.30 the Sydney Symphony Orchestra will be heard. Loreto Convent GirlE- Choir will be conducted by Miss Burdon at 4.4.5 pjn. tomorrow. Cnarles Baggott and Claude Wilting will render soldiers' songs at 9.4S pjn. on I Monday. Harold Parsons will give a| ?cello recital at 7.45 pjn. on Tuesday, and at 9.15 p.m. Ginette Neveu will give a violin recital. The Adelaide Choral Society, with Holland May and Len Taylor, will be heard from M&ughan Church at 8 pjn. on Wednesday. The Adelaide Orchestra, ?with Jessica DU. will perform the Concerto in G Minor by Horace Perkins at 9.15 pjn. on Friday.
