Miss Betsy Holden was hostess at a luncheon party at the South Australian Hotel on Friday, when she Invited some of her girl friends

to meet Miss June Yencken, of Melbourne. Her guests v.ere Misses Mary Hopton, Pat Green, Natalie Wllcox. Rosemary Wilkinson, and Dorothy Clampett. Looking exquisite in her rosepatterned white lace wedding gown over satin, with billowy tulle veil caught with orange blossom, and carrying a Victorian posy of tuber-roses. Miss Madeleine Sprod was married to Flt-Lt. Ross Truscott. RAAF, on Saturday afternoon at St. Peter's College Chapel. Miss Pamela McLeish. who was bridesmaid, was in a smokey blue taf-feta dinner frock, with circlet of blue velvet flowers on her hair. She carried a Victorian posy of deep red roses. Large bowls of mixed flowers in pastel shades in the chapel were arranged by Mes-dames Colin Truscott and P. Longmire, and Misses Peggy Mon-fries and Juliet O'Dea. After the ceremony, the bride's mother, Mrs. Milo Sprod held a late afternoon reception at her home in Unley Park A party of young people dancing at the 400 Club on Saturday night included Miss Pamela McLeish, in; her bridesmaid frock. Mr. and Mrs. Colin Truscott, Misses Peggy Monfrles, Juliet O'Dea. Joyce Craven, and Joan Grasby. who brought RAF officers on leave in Adelaide—Ht-Lt. Ken Rothwell, of Sydney, and PO. Doug.
