It was with the -permission bi J. Arthur Rank, British rum producer, that Reagrave came to Hollywood some four months ago to «tar in Frits Lang'« pic-ture, "Tba Secret Beyond the Door," at Universal-Intcrnaticnal Studios. Red« grave's wife, actress Rachel Kempson. iolned him a few weeks later.

Originally, he planned to stay only for tba Lang film. But producer Dudley Nichols st R.K.O. Studios offered him the part of the son in the nun adapta-tion of "Mourning Becomes Electra."

"That waa too good to miss," said Redgrave. "Mr. Rank «e^tioivvl thc flf^g"!"*"^ in place of 'Anna Karenina.' which t was to have made with Vivien Leigh for Alexander Korda in England, andi am most happy about it all. This is a part that any actor would love: S part in which he can expand. Mr Nichols has done a fine Job with thi script, faithfully following the play, and I ant SUM Eugene O'Neill will feel Ailly justified in at last permitting his drama

to reach the screen."

Redgrave ia now in the final stage ol thia role, with Rosalind Russell, Ray mond Massey, Ka tin Paxlnou, Lao .Geno and others. He believes lt will be th» kind of picture many audiences an hungry fdr.
