THE HOBART-TOWN COURIER,

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 24, 1827.

The arrival of a mail from England has compelled us to abridge our usual narrative of domestic events. We nevertheless return our thanks to our several correspondents throughout the island, of whose favours we shall more largely avail ourselves next week.

The ship Louisa, with female prisoners for this colony ; The Asia and the John with males for Sydney, and the George Home with merchandise had sailed before the Sovereign. Inquests were held at the Crown Inn, Norfolk plains, last week, on the bodies of Jos. Hilton and Lawrence Cunningham, and verdicts given that these unfortunate men had been wilfully murdered by aboriginal natives. The escape of Mr. Bryan was almost miraculous, Mr, Collins the newly appointed Sheriff's Officer, was robbed of his horse and watch on Wednesday, at the identical spot whero Mr. Curr was robbed a few weeks ago,
