Eager, to see the unsual scenery which wor-ld form, the background for "Typhoon Treasure," Miss Gwen Munro, the well-known star of Aus-tralian talkies, arrived by the Manunda yesterday. The company is at pre-sent at Green Island and Miss Munro, who -expects to have a stay of six weeks in the North, will shortly go over to the island.

The young actress stated last night that after thc ' film is completed she will visit England. She has already been there twice and has been to the United States, where she was in the talkie "Search for Beauty," and ,'. for experience played in ill professional stage shows. . :

Commenting on the story . .of "Ty-phoon Treasure," Miss. Munro said

that some thrills were in-;stor£ for- her and/the picture should bb good. She added that /another of the cast,; Kenncth?-Brarnptoh/brie of,the. "heavies" was on his way north. - .".":.'

, Miss Munro leapt to prominence, by her performance in Cinesound's "Orphan of the ^Wilderness " ' in the filming of which, she ? states,' she had a very happy'time. .Everybody"was kept in a very^ cheerful state by.Mr. Joe Valli, the .coinedian, who is also in "Typhoon 'Treasure."-' ' . ', "?''..
