POST OFFICE ROBBERY About £250 Stolen at Agnew. AGNEW, July 22.-A robbery was carried out at the Agnew post office between 11 o'clock last night and 11 o'clock this morning, when about £250 was removed from the safe. The postmaster made up the cash late last night and had no occasion to look for the money until the preparation of the usual mail this morning, when he discovered the money was missing. Open cheques to the value of over £80, postal notes and stamps were not touched. There was no sign of entry having been forced to the building, which is part of the Emu mine premises, and the safe was locked after the money had been taken. The Leonora police were notified of the robbery. The postmaster lives about a quarter of a mile from the post office. Mine offcials living in the next room to the post office did not hear any unusual noises during the night.
