Perth was first into attack but soon West Perth's superiority in the air became a vital factor in the game.. Moreover, West Perth's forwards were surer and better orgardsed than those of Perth. Across the centre Trainor and' Puddey gave Perth an advantage in the second term and Gook was given opportudities, ,though not suficient. The result was that the scores were level at half-time. One of several changes in placings was Flemming's transference to the centre after the interval. Now L. Walsh began to play brilliantly on the wing for West Perth and Marinko was in good form. There were patches of nice play but most moves broke down near the goals. West Perth was four points ahead at the change-over and -the last-quarter was vigorously contested. Seven minutes from time the leeway was only two points, but West Perth finished the stronger and increased its lead. Following were the quarter scores:I 5I Final. Pta.
