SOUTH-WEST BUSHFIRES. Damage at Racecourse. NANNUP, April 1.--Bush fires have been prevalent throughout the district for several days. The publican's booth, stables, and sheds on the Nannup race-course have been destroyed. Many trees have fallen across the main roads. Fires are still burning on the Bridge town-road. Owing to bush fires telephonic communication with Darradup and Carlotta Brook was interrupted. Stock Feed Destroyed. BOYANUP, April 1.--A fierce northwest wind today was responsible for many bush fires in this district. Near Boyanup one fire swept over the main road and the river. The headmaster of the State school (Mr. R. Tweedie) and the senior ikoys were among the firefighters. Hurst brothers lost considerable stock feed. Other serious fires in the south absorbed ,sost of the local firefighters, and many clover fields were devastated.
