BIG BELL RAILWAY. Last Section Laid. CUE, Dec. 20.-The last rail of the Big Bell-Cue railway line was laid at the mine at 3.30 p.m. on Thursday. A severe thunderstorm delayed operations for two hours, and men holding a rail were thrown down when lightning struck it. Mr. Dale Pitt, manager of the Big Bell Mine, was keenly interested, and when the last spike was driven in suitably entertained the wet and tired men in the Australian style. The new line stood up well to the test of being under water in several places, considering that it is less than two and a half months since the line was commenced, and that weather conditions have been so trying. The next step will be the ballasting and general clean-up of the track.
