inennai meeting for the present season of the Strathalbyn Agricultural and Horticultural Society wos held on Thursday evening at Worland's Hotel, when several gentlemen mtereste j were present.

me vice-president (ilr. Cheriton) was in the chair. The balonce-sheet and report were read and adopted. The late Committee resigned, and a fresh election followed with the undermentioned result: -Dr. Herbert, J.P., Patron; Mr. James Rankine, M.P., President; Mr. John Cheriton, VicePresident; Mr. W. Colman, Treasurer; Mr. S. R. Bosisto, Secretary; and a Committee of the following, gentlemen, with power to add to their number, vk, Messrs. D Gollan, sen., E. Ward, W. Brook, M.
