MNLBOURNE, Wednesday. Very general regret was felt at Creswick on Monday when it became known this evening that the only daughter of Mr. S. Fiddian, M.A., the principal of the Creswick Grammar School, was drowned at Ocean Grove to-day. The family were spending their holidays there, and the accident appears to have occurred whilst bathing. Information was received by the police at Geelong on Tuesday that on Monday morning two children, who were bathing in the open sea at Ocean Grove, had been accidentally drowned. One was a girl named Fiddian, aged twelve years, the only daughter of Mr. S. Fiddian, of Cres-wick, and the other a boy named Maurice Robin, aged nine years, son of the Rev. James de Q. Robin, Wesleyan minister at Kek. Both children ventured too far into the surf, and were rapidly taken into deep water by the receding waves, and drowned in sight of a number of persons on the beach, who were unable to render any assistance. The boy's body was floating in the sea and brought ashore, but the girl's body was either carried out to sea or seized by a shark. Careful search along the beach was made on Monday and to-day, but no sign of the body of the girl could be discovered. For the qualities most desirable in Soap for every use there is. only one brand.
