Comedy Theatre Opening.

The new J C Williamson comedy theatre will open to-night with the first appearance in Australia of Miss Margaret Bannerman and a London company in Somerset Maugham's comedy, "Our Bet- ters." A special souvenir book has been prepared, which will be presented to the members of the audience to-night and on Monday night. This will include interest-

ing matter relating to the old "Iron Pot," the theatre which was errected on this site in 1855, and was one of the earliest play- houses. There will also be a special article by Somerset Maugham regarding Miss Margaret Bannerman and "Our Bet ters," illustrations of the comedy theatre, photographs of Miss Margaret Bannerman and the members of the company, and other interesting pictures and letter-press;

the whole forming an interesting memento of tho occasion. The J. C. Williamson management announces that the whole house has been sold for to-night. Prices for Monday and the following nights are advertised, as are parking regulations ar-ranged by the traffic police to avoid con-gestion in Exhibition street.
