BETTER FARMING TRAIN.

Western District Tour.

The 20th tour of the Better Farming Train, and the first for 1928, will begin on Monday, March 5, when the train will leave for the Western district It is three year since this part of the State was um ted by the train, and farmers and others who inspected it then will find many improve ments and new exhibits

The top dressing of pastures will be Illus tinted by boxes of growing pasture taken from manured and unmanured experimental plots The Western district which is famous for its sheep, is paying greater attention to top dressing, and it is expected that this exhibit will arouse considerable

interest

The itinerary for the tour is as follows. -Koroit. March 0: Hamilton, March 7, Cdicndish, March 8 Balmoral, March 9, Portland, March 18 and 11, Condah, March 12, Casterton, March 13, Merino, March 14, Coleraine, March 15, and Penshurst,
