GILBERT AND SULLIVAN OPERAS

A crowded house greeted the second performance of 'The Gondoliers' by the J. C. Williamson, Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, at His Maiestv's

Tneatre, last night. Despite its supcess, 'The Gondoliers' will be withdrawn after to-night's performance. The only matinee of 'The Gondoliers' Will be given to-day at 2 o'clock. There

is no more delightful opera in the Savoy series than 'The Mikado,' to be staged to-morrow evening and the two following nights. Its beauty in music and stage pictures is mingled with remarkable humour. The- cast includes Ivan Menzies as Ko-Ko, Winifred Lawson as Yum- Yum, Godfrey Stirling as Nanki-Poo, Gregory Stroud as Plsh-Tush, Richard Watson as Poo-Bab., Evelyn Hall as Katisha, and Bernard .Manning as.
