APPOINTMENTS.

Colonial Secretary's Office, March 31. 1851.

His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor has been pleased to appoint Henry Evans and George Bull, Esquires, to be two of Her Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the Province 0f South Australia.

By His Excellency's command, CHARLES STURT, Colonial Secretary. Colonial Secretary's Office, March 28th, 1851. His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor has been pleased to appoint Arthur Blyth, Esq., to be Returning Officer for District No. 7, in the room of John Grainger, Esq., who has declared himself a Candidate for that District, and is thereby disqualified to act as Returning Officer. His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor has been pleased to appoint Charles Driver, Esq., J.P., Henry Price, Esq., J.P., and William Peter, Esq., J.P., to be a Court of Re-vision for the Electoral District, No. 16, in pursuance of the 18th clause of Ordniance No. 1, of 1851 ; and Mr. Brown to be Electoral Clerk for the same District, in pursuance of clause 7, of the same Ordinance. His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor has been pleased to make the following appointment pursuant to Ordinance No. 14, of 1849:— Hundred of Adelaide — Mr. Arthur Hardy, to be a Com-missioner of the District Board of Roads, for the said hundred. In virtue of the powers vested in the Lieutenant Gover-lor, by the 4th clause of Ordinance No. 5 of 1851, "For the recovery of Small Debts, and the trial and punishment of minor offences in South Australia," His Excellency has been pleased to appoint Mr. Henry Tidy to be Bailiff of the Court at Morphett Vale, vice Hayes, resigned. In pursuance of Ordinance No. 14, of 1849, "For the making and improving of Roads in South Australia," His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor has been pleased to confirm the election of the following gentlemen to serve as District Commissioners for the undermentioned Hun-dreds:— Hundred of Yatala.— Messrs. John Chamberlain, John S. Duncan, Adam L. Lymburner, Peter Macdonald, and John Harvey. Hundred of Munno Para.— Messrs. Charles Rumley, Thomas Martin, Thomas Hogarth, Daniel Garlick, and James Kelly. Hundred of Moorooroo. — Messrs. George Fife Angas, J. Evans, William Jacob, and Richard Rodda. United Hundreds of Kanmantoo and Monarto, — Messrs, William Giles, William S. Whitington, W. B. Dawes, Jas. Shakes, and John Hillman. Hundred of Mudla Wirra. — Messrs. Thomas Martin, O. Schomburgk, J. Wilkinson, C. Crispe, and J. Dawkins. Hundred of Para Wirra. — Messrs.
