"Internal Troubles."

High-Legged Boots--Mr. Wiles having | asked the President of the British Board of Trade whether his attention had been called to the prevalent fashion for ladies to wear high-legged boots, the demand for which tended to increase the cost of the ordinary boots and shoes. Mr. Pretyman replied that he had received a letter from the National Union of Boot and Shoe Oper-atives on the subject, an^ the matter was being considered. He added :-"I am under the impression that a large proportion of the uppers referred to are made of sub-stances other than leather."

Moola Bulla Cattle Station.-The Chief Protector of Aborigines (Mr. A. O. Neville) is in receipt of a message to the effect that since the middle of October last over 20in. of ram have been registered at the Moola Bulla -attie station This is a rr.uc'n hoavier fall than those of the last tw0 sea sons, and a splendid season ¡9 now assured.
