"BETTER FARMING TRAIN."

Tour of Women's Section.

Owing to the interest shown by country women

in the demonstrations given by the experts in

the women's section on the Better Farming train,

the Railways Commissioners are continuing to run

the women's section of the train into the country

as a separate unit. Miss N. Calder (needlecraft),

Miss M. Williams and Miss J. Killeen (cookery), from the Education Department, as well as Sister

M. Peck, principal of baby health centres, will

accompany the cars, and demonstrations will be

given daily on cookery, needlecraft, domestic hy-

giene, and child welfare. The next tour will begin on June 8, when the train will visit Nyora.

Next day it will be at Glen Forbes and the fol-lowing day at Anderson. On June 11 it will visit

Wonthaggi, and the same night it will return to Melbourne.
