MEETING OF THE W.A. FOOTBALL

ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the members of the Football Association, was held at Mr. Strickland's Hotel on. Monday evening. There was a good attendance. Mr. Chipper read a letter from the West Australian Football Club asking to be admitted into the Association. Mr. Ogborne proposed, and Mr. Birch seconded, that the club should become a member of the Association. The resolution was carried. Messrs, Mansfield, Ramsay, and McDonough, delegates of the West Australian Football Club, were then invited into the room to take part in the business of the meeting. It was proposed by Mr. Ogborne, and seconded by Mr. Nugent, that Mr. Ramsay be made Hon. Secretary of the Association. The resolution was carried, It was proposed by Mr. S. J. Chipper, and seconded by Mr. Ogborne, that the W.A.F.C. play with 20 men. An amendment was proposed by Mr. Ramsay, and seconded by Mr. Mansfield, that the W.A.F.C. be allowed to play with 23 men they being all juniors. The original resolution was carried. It was announced that the colours of the W.A.F.C. would be red and black troops. Mr. W. Spooner was elected and are.

It was arranged that the meetings of the delegates should take place at Fremantle and Perth alternately. The Union FC. asked leave to change their colors to red and white (bar) and permission was given. The following matches were arranged :

A NEW ROWING CLUB.

A new rowing club has been formed in Perth, styled the Swan River Rowing Club. Mr. Con. Glasson has been appointed hon. secretary pro tem., and intending members should communicate with him. Mr. W. Lawrence, jun., is building a four-oared boat

for the Club.

This match was opened yesterday afternoon on the Recreation Ground, Perth. The M.C.C. men went first to the orease^andwere not disposed of until they had made the good score of 129. North contributed 50 by excellent play. Lowe also played well for IS, and Piper's 24 was obtained by steady batting.
