Clackline, August 3.

Dear Aunt Mary.-It is som« timo «ince I wrote you, but ail tba same I haven't forgotten you «nd the work. Haven't we had some cold mornings lately P This place here seems to be very cold. But in spite ol the «old mornings wo have had some lovely afternoons. The gardens round here are looking very nice now. we have a.nice vegetable garden, but the flowers aro not very good we only bare bulbs open. I have left Mrs. Pleyles now and Ï am teaching in the Clackline School. I like it very wall. We have about 35 children co-ing: here now. Some of them left lately. Wc have only about two miles to drive, for my part I would sooner walk thew morn-ings. Tho children have some very nice gardens at the school- The boys have some nice wheat plots. I went to Perth for the week the Priuce was here and I had a very good time. 1 was staying with my cousins. I don't think I would have liked to have been the Prinoe. He seemed to

have had a very strenuous time and he looked very tired. I am sending my sub-scription for the year, I think it was due some time ago. I am also sending some money I have bad eome time. I don t eeem tn have much time to collect these days. Well I must close now, hoping this will find you all well.-1 romain, yours sincerely

MAY OLIVER.

My dear May.-It vas delightful to get your letter and know that you remembered your old friend. Everybody agrees that thia winter hs« been a champion for cold and rain, and I expect the gardens will be a little backward. I was so interested to iear that your are teaching in the Clackline School. It must be a lovely work among tho children. The gardens and wheat plots must be a great aource of pleasure to the ' children. It was nice that you were able

to be in Perth during the Prince's visit fie must havo had great «elf control to get through the whole arduous tour. Thank I you so much for tèe 2s. 6d. With love.-I

remain yours affectionately, AUNT MARY.
