KELLY BROTHERS.

THEIR MOTHER DEAD. Memories of the doings of the Kelly gang have been recalled by the death of the mother of Ned and Dan Kelly. Melbourne, March 27.

The death occurred to-day at Greta West of Mrs. Ellen King (formerly Kelly), mother of Ned and Dan Kelly, the famous bushrangers.

For 40 years the late Mrs. King, who was aged 95 years, lived in the seclusion of the wild hills at Greta West. Born in Antrim, Ireland, she came to Australia with her parents in 1841. She married Mr. John Kelly at Ballarat in 1851. He died at Avenel, and she subsequently married George King. Mr. James Kelly, a familiar figure at the Wangaratta stock sales, is her surviving son.
