QUEENSLAND JUNIORS' BID AGAINST N.S.W.

fHE N.S.W. junior Soccer team will open its tour to-morrow at Heath Park with a match against a Queensland side. Good football should be

wiuiessea, as me scanaara 01 pia.y in both States is on a high level. Last year the Queenslanders did well on their visit south, winnine two of the four matches and drawine one. Most of the players this time are new to big football. Allen, the centre half, is the onlv one with previous interState experience, and a great deal may depend on his showing to-morrow. Ho?p the right back, and Kelly, at left half, are capable defenders, who are not likely to give the opposine forwards too much rope. The N.S.W. side to arrive to-day comprises 14 players, and. with a number of utility men included, should be able to put a very 'rong team Into the field. Both Wootton and Protheroe are sound goalkeepers, while «om players like Melrose, McLean, HunteT. iredale, and Thomas a very sound defence could be selected. The forwards Include two oeaf and dumb players who are reported to be very clever. Judging by previous games; to-morrow's match should be very even, but the advantage of playing at home may enable Queensland to win. To assist In the selection of a Queens'?nd team of players under 21 years of age, tho are to visit N-.S.W. In September, a tnal match will be staged over the weekend.
