PROMOTION OF JUNIORS Conference to be Held

In appointing delegates to confer with the Brisbane District Football Associa-tion on Monday next, regarding the pro-motion of junior teams to senior ranks,

the executive of the Brisbane Junior Foot-ball Association last night made it clear that they did not desire to disturb the relationship between the two bodies. Mr. J.P. Venamore, president of the B.J.F.A., pointed out that the decision to alter the agreement between the two bodies was tho unanimous opinion of the clubs. The executive thought that more substantial benefits to senior football would result from the new rule, which left it to the teams themselves to decide whether they were fit to enter the highest grades. Messrs. W. Harper and P. Jamison were appointed to confer with the B.D.F.A. executive on the question. Messrs. W. Harper, P. Jamison, and T. Stratton were elected as the Brisbane representatives on the Queensland Junior Soccer Council. It was decided to convene a general meeting of club delegates for Tuesday. April 7. Already 21 teams have lodged appli-cations for affiliation and it is expected that by the closing date, March 14, over 40 teams will have affiliated.
