WEDDING AT ST. JOHN'S

PRO-CATHEDRAL.

Hon. W, 'H. Wilson-Miss Hardino.

The marriage of the Honourable "Walter Horatio Wilson, M.L.C., of Sherwood' Grove, Toowong, Postmaster-General and Minister for Education, and Miss Harding (Rose Mary), daughter of his Honour Mr. Justice Harding of St. John's Wood, Enoggoea, was celebrated at St. John's Pro-cathedral yesterday afternoon, at half-past 5 o'clock.

Tho ceremony was performed by the rector of the parish, the Rev M. J. Blone-Wigg. Tho bride was given away by her father. There were four bridesmaids-Miss Stewart, daughter of Mr. Alexander Stewart, of Stewartholme, Enoggora Miss Drury, daughter of Mr. E. R. Drury, of the Queensland National Bank, Brisbane and Misses Nettie and Gwynnie Harding, sisters of the bride. The Hon. Gerard Wallop, private secre tory to his Excellency the Governor, officiated as best man. Mr. Seymour Dicker, organist of the church, was present, and played Men -delsson's wedding march and other apro priate musical selections at intervals with his accustomed taste and skill.

Though there were, it is understood, fewv invited guests except his Honour the Chief Justice and Lady Griffith and the near retatives of tho brido and bridegroom, thero was a largo assemblage of interested spectators, the, majority of whom were well-known members of society.

The bride and bridegroom left by the mail train en route for Glen Inties, New South Wales.

. Miss Harding's wedding gown was of white twilled Indian silk. The corsage was arranged with a yoke of honeycomb smocking and frills of real Valenciennes lace. The skirt was cut in the "bell" mode, and was ornamented with two vandyke flounces and with lace. Rosettes of while ribbon added a quaint touch of rococo effect to this charming gown. A "Duchess of York" hat in crinoline and Tuscan straw, with floral and lace lining, and ornamentation of white ostrich tips, completed the toilette.

Tho bridesmaid» wore white," hailstone" mush'n frocks ornamented with " Princess Moy" Valen-ciennes lace ; tho bodices arranged in the bebé mode; with fichu of Princess May lace and rosettes of white satin ribbon ; elbow sleeves with ruffles of Princess May lace. ""Picture"hats in white lace and nutmeg straw, ornamented with pink and white lilac-blossom, were worn with these simple and tasteful frock. All the boüquepts were arranged in the " shower fashion."

Mrs. Harding, of St John's Wood, wore a toilette of palo lavender silk, ornamented with

cream lace.

Miss Wilson, of Wilston, cream pongen silk, enriched with Princess May Valenciennes lace and

white ribbon.

Among the many artistically arranged gowns included, in the bride's trousseau were the fol-lowing:-French gray gros royal, ornamented with particularly handsome silk floral guipura embroidery. Eau de nil liengalino, ornamented with fancy ribbon and point de gaze. Navy French voile, ornamented with navy-and-gold-striped silk. White bishop's lawn with torchon insertion and lace. Pole green shaded crepon with Irish point. All the toilettes were accompanied with hat en suite. The travelling cloak was of gray brocade, lined with golden brown Sarah silk, '

Miss Harding's wedding toilette and trousseau, together with the toilettes worn by the brides-maids and by Miss Wilson, worn designed and made at the establishment of Messrs. Grünes and Petty, of this city.
