STANTHORPE, May 21.

. Eleven thousand six hundred owes and wethers will pass on Sunday from Garrawilla, Coonabarabran district, Now South Wales, for Westbrook, Darling Downs, Shannon and Jennings owners, John Gardiner in charge.

BUNDABERG, May 22.

The funeral ot Mr. Walter Adams, whose body has been brought from Sydney, took place yes-terday afternoon. Rain was falling in torrents, but notwithstanding the unfavourable weather the procession was nearly a mile in length, and hundreds of people followed the remains to the cemetery, a distance of two miles. All places of business were closed during the afternoon. The cause of Mr. Adams's death is declared to be cancer.

The Mail publishes addresses to the electors from Mr. Dully and Mr. Curtis, both of whom aro in tho main supporters of tho present Government, but differ on sido issues.

CHARTERS TOWERS, May 22.

The Defence Force encampment at Macrossan Bridge has so far proved very successful. There aro 321 men and 80 horses in tho camp. The weather is fine. Fifteen hundred visitors liave proceeded by train from Charters Towers to the sceno of the encampment.

MARLBOROUGH. May 21.

One hundred and sixty-two cowa aro passing from Tcornwoomba station for Lake's Crook, W. Usher in charge.

The weather is showery.

No. 2 Maxwellton boro struck water on Thurs-day at a depth of 1371ft,, tho supply being about 200,000 gallons daily. They aro stilt sinking for a larger supply. Tho temperature of the water is H8dog.

Tho weather is cold and cloudy. The country is getting very dry and rain is badly wanted.
