OBITUARY

Miss Rosaline Lord, who died at Yankalilla was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lord, who came from Devonshire with their young family

and settled at Second Valley. Mr. Lord died soon after his arrival, but Mrs. Lord lived to the age of 84 and died in 1925. She was an invalid for many years and seldom stirred outside her own door. Miss Rosaline Lord was her mother's devoted daughter and companion. Of late years she lived with a widowed sister, Mrs. A. Roads, of Yankalilla, at whose house she died. She had two brothers and five sisters— Mesdames W. A. Bennett (Morphett ville), A. Hamblin (Hay Flat), Lal Bowyer (Owen), Jack Bowyer (Wattle Flat) and A. Roads (Yankalilla). There are numerous nephews and nieces. The late Mr. Arthur L. A. Muller, who had been colonial manager of the South Australian Company, and a member of the local board of directors, was born at North Adelaide, and was the only surviving son of a pioneer colonist, Mr. J. A. Muller. Mr. Muller died at a private hospital on Sunday at the age of 63. He received his early education at home, and after wards at the South Australian Com mercial College at Norwood. At the age of 19 he entered the office of the South Australian Company as junior clerk, and had occu pied every position in the office before his death. Mr Muller's sister, Miss Maud Muller of Penzance street, Glenelg, survives him.
