"WALSH PITMAN MEMORIAL SELECTING A DESIGN Perth. Jan. 4. Constable Douglas Cummings, official draughtsman of the Police Traffic Department, has been com-missioned to submit a design for the proposed memoral to the late Detective-Inspector Walsh and Detective-Sergeant Pitman. It has been decided to erect the memorial under the central arch of the police barracks in James.street, and if the design on which Constable Cum-mings is engaged is accepted, it: will be in the form of a statue of Justice. Constable Cummings, in addition to being an expert draughtsman, is an artist of some distinction and enters his paintings annually at the exhibitions of the West Australian Society of Arts, His design for the Walsh.Pitman memorial will be considered by the menmorial com-ittee at an early date
