TOODYAY BUSH FIRES DUE TO COLLIE COAL Perth, Feb. 5. With referencc to the bush fires which have been raging in.the Toodyay district, Mr Hiamersley, M.L.C., interviewed the Minister and the Commissioner of Railways to'day. with the result t'aat the department has agreed to revert to the use of Newcastle coal for the time being. "We, in the farming areas," said Mr. Hameraley, "wish to see every industry in the country properly fostered, and we recognise the worth of the Collie coal industry, but we do object to the risk taken in usinu coal from Collie in the agricultural districts in the worst months of the year."
