YUNNDAGA HOTEL LITIGATION BARRY v. MAHER. VERDICT FOR COMMISSION. S Perth, Sept. 23. In the Perth local court to-day J. A. Barry, hotel broker, sued Phillip Maher, cordial' manutacturer,' Subiaco, for £100 as conminission on the sale for £3000 of the• Yunndaga Hotel, near Menzies. Plaintiff claimed that last February the defendant, who was the owner of the Yunndaga Hotel, hand-. ed him a letter from J-. K. Robinson, the lessee of the hotel, declining to purchase the hotel at £3000 He saw Robinson, who offered £2500, but defendant refused this. Plaintiff then had further- negotia-tions with Robinson, who said he would consult his wife on the matter. - Shortly after the defendant proceeded to Yunndaga, and whilst there Robinson told him that he had' decided to take the hotel at £3000. Defendant claimed that the sale.' to Robinson was due solely to the negotiations which he had had with him previoisaly, and denied that he' had employed the plaintiff to sell the property. The magistrate gave judgment for the amount claimed1 with costs.
