Dingo Pest.

Word from Lake Nash district states that dingoes are extremely numerous

and troublesome.

An applicant for a grazing lease on which it is proposed to run sheep is seeking Government assistance in combatting the pest. It is not likely that sheep could be run successfully, anywhere in the Territory, unless an organized war against dingoes is kept up continually. Small herds of goats, run in various localities, have to be shepherded or they would quickly be wiped out. Even cattle owners suffer considerable losses at times.

It is understood that an Ordinance will shortly be gazetted in which a bonus will be offered for the destruc-tion of the pest.
