STATE BATTERY RETURNS. Marble Bar, Sept. 1. The following are the last fourcrushings put through the State battery :--D. Bevan, 22 tons for 33 oz. 8 dWt.; W. Moxon, 12 tons for 52 oz. ; E. Lewis, 45 tons for 60 oz. 7 dwt.; and W. Hodges, 161 tons for 21 oz. 11 dwt. A parcel from a big formation show at Wyman's will be put through next week, and it is expected to average from 10 to 13 dwt. Many thousands of tons of ore are available, and gold can be traced 'long the surface for 1000 ft. The reef is 6 ft, wide.
