'OUR RURAL MAGAZINE.'

The September issue of 'Our Rural Magazine, the organ of the Education Department's 'Correspondence classes, opens with a message, to pupils by Mr. F.

JVI. Heedy, headmaster of the Albany rLign School. The latest contribution to the interesting series of articles on 'Great Contributors to Human Welfare' is devoted to the printing industry and deals with Gutenberg and Caxton. The Government Botanist (Mr. C. A. Gardner) describes and 'illustrates the scarlet bladderwort, Mr. James Pollard gives further information concerning methods of prospecting for gold, the Curator of the Museum (Mr. L. Glauert) conducts an exceedingly interesting correspondence column dealing with nature study topics, and other usual features are included.
