Plans of the T. A. L. Davy memorial aviary have now been finalised, and the State Gardens Board will make an early start, with the construction in a pro-

minent part of the Zoological Gardens. The aviary is to take the shape of a Maltese cross, all wings being domed. The general material will be tubular pip-ing and wire mesh. 'The length over all will be 34 feet and the breath 18 feet. The height will be 8ft. to the eaves and a further 6ft. to the highest part of the dome. The completed structure will bear the superscription "T. A. L. Davy Me-morial Aviary" prominently displayed in the centre dome. Subscribers will be privately notified of the date of opening. Subscriptions are still being received by Mr. H. V. Highman, hon, secretary, Avicultural Society of W.A.. 6 Karoo-street, South Perth.
