STATE BATTERY RETURNS. SOME GOOD ORUSHINGS FROM PIG WELL. Leonora,, Dec. 7. Mr. A. H. Morris, manar of the Ptate battery at Pig Wel, reports having cleaned up the following parcels for the week ending Decemher 4:-The Sfarligbt (3. Moon), 50 tons for aw return of 26L oz. over the plates; from P.A; 4760 (J. I ,binson), 74 tons for 34 oz. 2 dwt.; P.A. 055 (H-. Ottow), 171 tons for 18 oz 15. dwt. Mr J. Moon, who has worked the Starlight for - some considerable time for a handsome return, after raising the parcel just crushed, decided to take a holiday, and has now let his mine on tribute. The tributers are at present taking out a crushing -from the same lode, as that worked by Moon, and as theyI have defined the lode runnmg upwards for 30 ft., they are likely to reap a rich return for their work during Mr. Moon's absence. -Prospecting and development work is still being carried out on the Gambier Lass South, which adjoins Kelly and Penny's claim, and they are confident that the present drive will cut the same lode from which the latter company have been takmin such excellent crushings. A five-sixteenth interesb in the Gambier Lass South is to be offered, for sale by axction by Chas. P. Hobart and Co., at Leonora, on the 15th inst. Considering tie satisfactory returns coming to haAd from this district every week, and the permanency of the adjoining claim, there should be no-lack of buyers when: this interest is offered.
